Another Friday, another bow to Bush's antiterror legacy -- WSJ.com:

A quasi-military campaign against some freedom-fighters/bandits in Palestine. Led by a guy named Jesus the Galilean (no, not the same Jesus. It was a very common name back then.)
He used threats and bribes and persuasion to try to settle the conflict peacefully, with military force available if necessary. But even that would not be "war;" he didn't want to conquer or destroy the region, just support the side of peaceful citizens, and law and order.
Which is basically what we are doing in the WoT. And that's why I don't think it's really a war...
