Don't forget...

fireman at the WTC

Lots of people want you to forget. The message is insinuated in a thousand subtle ways, by those too dishonest to say what plainly they mean. Kerry and the Democrats want you to forget. Dan Rather and the mainstream media want you to forget. Pat Buchannon and the Libertarian Party and Ralph Nader want you to forget.

Don't forget

They won't say it plain, instead they say we should be flexible, should watch the budget, should focus on "first responders," should consult with "allies" before doing anything, should not overextend ourselvs, should not "overstretch" our fragile military, should conserve our strength for later...

Don't forget.

They make blandly dutiful references to fighting the War on Terror, but their cheeks only glow when they criticize our troops or the administration. Talk of liberating 50 million, or breaking the pattern of despotism and ignorance in the ME, and their eyes glaze over. But Abu Ghraib, ahhh...they savored that like wine.

Don't forget.

Re F-102 and President Bush:

As a Cold War veteran I have long been concerned over the specious attacks on the honorable service of President George W. Bush. After searching the internet I have found the article published in Random Jottings by John Weidner. My personal experience and knowledge of things military gives me reason to find no doubt about the record as presented here. I only wish I were the author.

With your permission I will copy my friends and others in need of enlightenment.

Everyone ought to know that every time George Bush strapped the F-102 Delta Dagger onto his back and butt, he was taking a life or death chance. The "Dagger" killed many pilots, landing, taking off, mid-air collisions, et cetera. Imagine, supersonic (faster than the speed of sound, level flight) taking off in bad weather on a routine basis to be sure no Russkies could sneak up on us with loaded Nukes. Nuff said.
